How it began

Finding light in beautiful things

Squirrels & Acorns began during a deeply personal season in Ananda's life. After experiencing a significant loss, creative work became a way to stay busy, find new focus and reconnect with the joy found in making and appreciating beautiful things.

What started with creative projects and a love for thoughtful products grew into an idea for a gift shop. With encouragement from family and friends, that idea became Squirrels & Acorns in July 2024.

Looking back, Ananda believes the business was not simply a random idea, but part of God's plan. She sees His hand in the milestones, encouraging feedback, friendships and opportunities that have shaped the business since it began.

Today the shop brings together gifts, decor and useful finds chosen to brighten everyday life and help people show others they care.
